“Proximity” by Scott Sparks

Some of my friends are due to proximity
Hello next door; how are you down the street?
Then there are those who connect with me regularly
Extending but not out of reach though so it seems
I think we can all say we’ve had our share of each
Proximity
I’ll see you again my friend
Please stay with me through the end
Some of my lovers were due to proximity
What’s your number? Will you go out with me?
Now my perception’s changed direction for sake of meaning
Reluctant with eyes open, daring to dream
I think and believe we’ve had our share of each
Proximity
Who am I to pretend?
Please stay with me through the end
