A strange thing happened,
with the world’s very first snake:
it seems that he feasted,
on every color he could take.
Not knowing of the food pyramid,
or dietary restrictions,
he would simply eat smaragdine,
fulvous, mikado, and chartreuse with conviction. (they’re colors – look them up, jerk)
But one day he was about.
eating a tasty celadon,
when a troublemaking ghost
he did come upon…
It was too late to stop
and he ate the ghost whole.
But now the snake’s body,
the silly ghost did control.
So out in a nudist garden,
where snakes the humans did fear,
the hot one did obey
when the snake said, “Taste the Rainbow, my dear.”
She ate of the candy apple red,
and in that bad deed,
the snake’s ghost joke was complete,
in dooming humans he did succeed.
So what is the lesson
of this amalgamation?
