“Hollowed” by Scott Sparks

An expression is like a bullet
Spoken just once and firmly embedded
Whether hollowed at the tip
Or meant to pierce its recipient
Could be silenced as in a whisper
Hunting seasons of this type
No posted signs or boundaries
Regulations for game, they have none
Delivered from the hip without a holster
Heat of the moment
Apologize later or not one to bother
Spoken just once and firmly embedded
