“The Pinching Fingers of the Sky God” by Richard F. Yates

Beware, particularly at sunset, of the Pinching Fingers of the Sky God! If you find youself walking along and a giant red hand reaches towards you from the Heavens, your best move (physically, if not politically) is to become as liquid as possible, so that you can flow away from the graspings fingers! The Sky God becomes bored rather easily and will quickly give up trying to pinch a fast moving, liquidy target.

If the fingers DO grasp you and give you a pinch…. well… perhaps it’s better to have a living will written up before one goes walking at sunset…

(Wardrome for Mr. Liquid was provided by Mobile & Sacks Fine Body Coverings!)

—Richard F. Yates

[P.S. – In case anyone was wondering where I got the image, like all my posts, I created it myself. This one was a digital drawing doodled on my phone using a free sketch program. The story was at least partially inspred by a skit on _The Kids in the Hall_ and a short story by Philip K. Dick!]
