Yesterday, the family spent 12 hours in a hospital waiting room while my wife’s father went through an extremely intensive surgery—and we worried and paced and waited…
Thankfully, it went well—although he’s going to have a rough time over the next several months of recovery.
Meanwhile, I got quite a lot of reading done, (twelve hours is a long time), and we went to a McMenamins Pub (Sunnyside) in Clackamas County, Oregon, for dinner. (I drew the snake artwork for this post on my leftovers box!)
I’m terribly phobic about medical stuff, but it’s important to be supportive and to be there for your family and loved ones, so I repressed my terror and went on in to the hospital. Long day. We left town at about 8:00 A.M., and we got home at about 10:30 P.M.
Brain drain… Today was primarily a recuperation day. Hopefully, I’ll have decompressed enough by tomorrow to be a bit more creative again… HOPEFULLY!
See ya’ then…
